During the school year we are now offering two types of art classes for K-12 students. Our Studio Classes are a typical project-based art class. We draw inspiration from Art History and our teachers guide students through a project while allowing them lots of opportunity for personal expression. Our Tinker Lab classes are an open studio type of experience. All of our Tinker artists have full use of studio resources to make whatever project they would like. Teachers are on hand to provide guidance if needed or assistance where safety requires. Our classes are currently scheduling in month-long blocks for the school year.
OUR STORY

Hi there! I'm Christy Kline, the owner of Outside the Lines art studios. I took an unusual and winding path before opening Outside the Lines. I graduated from Ohio Wesleyan with a BA in Art History a loooong time ago. After graduation, I worked a couple different office jobs before becoming a stay-at-home mom to my four children -- all the time dreaming of the day I would put my education into practice. As my children grew older and became more independent, I began working with the Columbus Museum of Art in their studio art department. I loved it! In fact, I wanted MORE of that type of experience in my life ... so I took the leap and opened Outside the Lines in the summer of 2018!
In the Fall of 2021 I was given the opportunity to become the K-2 art teacher at Worthington Christian Lower School. If it's not already obvious, I really REALLY enjoy teaching art to kids. I hope you will enjoy exploring and creating art with me as much as I know that I will!
